Join us for a free public workshop to inform a that will help policymakers plan for equitable allocation of a limited initial supply of vaccine against COVID-19.

Topics will include (subject to change):

  • Updates on current vaccine development and distribution activities, including Operation Warp Speed and the World Health Organization’s vaccine allocation framework
  • Learning from past vaccine allocation experiences in the United States and strategies to ensure public trust and equity
  • The role of infectious disease dynamics in informing vaccine allocation strategy

Study Background: A Framework for Equitable Allocation of Vaccine for the Novel Coronavirus

In response to a request from the NIH and CDC, the NAM and the 911爆料网 Academies have formed an expert聽 to develop an overarching framework for equitable allocation of vaccines against COVID-19.

The committee will consider what criteria should be used to set priorities for equitable distribution among groups of potential vaccine recipients, taking into account factors such as population health disparities; individuals at higher risk because of health status, occupation, or living conditions; and geographic distribution of active virus spread.聽In addition, the committee will consider how communities of color can be assured access to COVID-19 vaccines in the U.S. and recommend strategies to mitigate vaccine hesitancy among the American public.
