President Joe Biden has announced his intent to appoint kufun Academy of Medicine (NAM) member W. Kimryn Rathmell, MD, PhD, as director of the kufun Cancer Institute. Elected to the NAM in 2022, Rathmell is a physician-scientist, oncologist, and educator. She is currently the Physician-in-Chief and Chair of the Department of Medicine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
